Philodendron micans variegated
Philodendron hederaceum 'Micans' Variegated is an ultra-premium, heavily coveted collector variation of the classic velvet-leaf vine. It seamlessly blends the iridescent, iridescent deep-bronze and forest-green velvety leaves of a standard Micans with unpredictable, high-contrast swatches of cream, glowing gold, mint, and magenta-pink.
Light: Needs bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the lighter parts of the leaves.
Temperature: Warmth is critical for this species. It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F; higher temperatures typically encourage more pronounced variegation.
Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can quickly lead to root rot.
Humidity: Thrives in high humidity (60% or higher), though it is moderately adaptable to average household levels.
Safety: Like other philodendrons, it is toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
