Alocasia Dragonscale mint 4"
The Alocasia ‘Dragon Scale Mint’ (Alocasia baginda) is a rare and highly coveted "jewel Alocasia" prized for its otherworldly, armor-like foliage. Unlike the dark, high-contrast look of a standard Dragon Scale, the Mint cultivar features thick, leathery leaves covered in a pale, silvery-mint green marbling with prominent, deeply sunken dark green veins.
Light: Needs bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid variegation. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the lighter parts of the leaves.
Temperature: Warmth is critical for this species. It prefers temperatures between 65°F and 85°F; higher temperatures typically encourage more pronounced variegation.
Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can quickly lead to root rot.
Humidity: Thrives in high humidity (60% or higher), though it is moderately adaptable to average household levels.
Safety: Like other philodendrons, it is toxic to pets and humans if ingested.
